Check Out The Natural Bridge Caverns

Natural Bridge Caverns

Natural Bridge Caverns

In 1960, four college students discovered the Natural Bridge Caverns, and the discoveries keep happening. This May, cave explorers trekked through an undeveloped section of the caverns and found a passage that is the length of a 60-story building. You don’t have to be a professional explorer to enjoy the caverns, though. This family-owned business is open to everyone, and there are adventures for every skill level. From the Discovery Tour to the Adventure Tours, this place makes it easy for everyone to have fun.

So, which tour should you pick? Let’s take a closer look.

Discovery Tour

The Discovery Tour is the easiest way to explore the caverns. There aren’t as many stairs as with the other tours, but you will still see so many cool sights. You will begin the tour by descending 180 feet down into the caverns. The tour guide will provide some fun facts during your descent. You will see countless ancient formations that will take your breath away and learn quite a bit about the caverns.

Hidden Passages Tour

If you want to up your adventure, consider the Hidden Passages Tour. This tour has lots of steps and is pretty strenuous, but you will get up close to lots of amazing structures. You’ll even get to see the holes that were drilled to gain access to the caverns after they were discovered. The group is smaller for this tour as well, so you get more one-on-one attention.

Adventure Tours

Do you want an even bigger adventure? Then consider one of the Adventure Tours. You can choose from the Hidden Passages Adventure Tour and the Discovery Adventure Tour, and both are epic. Just expect to get dirty with these tours. You’ll hike, climb, rappel, and crawl your way through the caverns on these tours. It’s not for the faint of heart, but it sure is fun.

Surface Attractions

Natural Bridge Caverns offers more than cave tours. There are also surface attractions, including the Canopy Zip Lines. This is a great way to see the view from the top. This zip line isn’t as high as some other places, so it’s a good way to try ziplining for the first time. You can also enjoy a ropes course and more. There is even a gem and fossil mining station for the little ones. See, there truly is something for everyone.
