The annual Fiesta San Antonio returns very soon, and in one week this April, over two million guests will gather to celebrate our character and culture in a tremendous citywide party. There will be music, food, and fun for the entire family. Among the Fiesta’s most popular attractions is a spectacular carnival with games, rides, and more.
When and Where
The festival will be held in the Alamodome Parking Lot C, 401 – 449 S Cherry St, San Antonio, Texas 78206. If you reserve your tickets before April 17 at 11:55 p.m., you can access an unlimited amount of rides per day. Wristbands and tickets will also be available at the carnival grounds.
You can expect a lively variety of rides and attractions. In years past, we’ve seen an old-fashioned carousel, the Ferris wheel, and the high-flying Yo Yo thrill ride. Is there any better way to take in all the sights and colors of the carnival than up in the air with your legs swinging in the breeze?
A Citywide Celebration
While you could easily spend the entire week having a great time at the carnival, there are many other wonderful cultural events and other fun activities occurring all week long. You can see a full Fiesta calendar HERE.
Other Fiesta events around town during the week include a beautiful floral show at the Woodward House, a masquerade party, various runs and walks, live music, an arts fair, and awesome food like the chili cookoff on the last day. The cookoff pays homage to the “Chili Queens” of San Antonio, who introduced carne con chile to the U.S. gastronomic landscape after years of cooking the spicy stew in our city plazas.
