Impress With These Snacks

Cheesy Bread Sticks with Marinara Sauce

Whether you’re a die-hard fan of football, basketball, baseball, or some other sport, you probably have family members and friends over on game days. As a good host, you want to provide fun and delicious snacks. To make a lasting impression, make one or all of these.

Pizza

You’ll never go wrong serving pizza on game day. However, instead of or in addition to traditional cheese and pepperoni, why not try some unique flavors? For example, barbecue chicken pizza is yummy. You could also make a meatball, veggie, or perhaps a Mexican taco pizza.

To satisfy everyone, make homemade pizza using both thin and thick crusts. However, if you don’t have the time, you can always have it delivered or grab a popular brand from your local grocery store.

Spicy Cheese Spread

This is another excellent snack for game day. Not only does it taste great, but you can also serve it with pita chips, tortilla chips, crackers, and even bite-sized pieces of bread. In addition, you can make it as mild or spicy as you want. Commonly called Southern caviar, you’ll find many great recipes online.

Nachos

Just about everyone loves nachos. So, consider making a large platter the next time you host a party for game day. In addition to conventional ingredients like beef, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes, you can add other ingredients to make it more creative. For instance, add black olives, onions, sour cream, and guacamole. It’s sure to win everyone over, even if their favorite team loses.

Pigs in a Blanket

Like most people, you probably think of Pigs in a Blanket as something you eat for breakfast. However, they’re also perfect for game day. Best of all, they don’t take much time to make. To take the easiest route, buy smokie sausages, refrigerator croissants, and cheese.

Then roll a sausage in a croissant and bake for about 15 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit. When they’re done, sprinkle some cheese on top and serve hot. To take them up a notch, wrap the outside of the croissant with a piece of bacon.

Puppy Chow

Along with savory snacks, you’ll want to set out something sweet for your guests to eat. Puppy Chow is an all-time favorite. Not only is this snack sweet, but it is also crunchy. Additionally, you can make a large batch to have some for your kids to enjoy after everyone leaves.

Ice Cream

For this, don’t just offer people a bowl of ice cream. Instead, make a batch of homemade chocolate cookies. After they cool, put ice cream between two cookies to make a delicious sandwich. To finish, roll the exposed sides of ice cream in mini chocolate chips, sprinkles, or M&Ms. Because they freeze nicely, you don’t need to worry about them melting before they’re served.

Veggie Platter

You’ll also make an impression with a good old-fashioned veggie tray. For this, include an assortment of fresh broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, celery sticks, cherry tomatoes, and so on. To make the platter even better, serve it with ranch dressing or some other type of dip.
