What to Expect
The Summer Artisan Show will have countless items to buy. Different artisans participate in each of the shows, but you can expect to find an assortment of woodwork, beadwork, pottery, paintings, and textiles. There is usually some impressive jewelry there as well.
The artisans are spread out along the River Walk extension, so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery as you move from one vendor to the next. Before you know it, you’ll have spent hours shopping along the River Walk.
Speak to the Artists
The artisan show also gives you the opportunity to speak to the artists. Usually, when you buy something, you have no idea how it was made or even where it came from. It’s really neat to talk to the creators about their products. They are always happy to answer questions, and many will provide contact details if you want to buy more of their items. These local artists are very talented and engaging, and they are there to build relationships with the people of San Antonio.

If you want to make a full day of it, you can also visit the Shops at Rivercenter.
