Go Rio Cruises Has Your Next Party!

The riverwalk in San Antonio park walkway scenic canal tour boat

If you enjoy new experiences, San Antonio, Texas, is the place to visit. With so many options, you might need help choosing just a few. Even so, there’s something you should try. That’s the river shuttle or narrated cruise operated by Go Rio Cruises.

River Shuttle

This shuttle will take you on a fantastic journey that starts at the San Antonio River Walk. It’ll drop you off at Museum Reach in downtown San Antonio. The shuttle runs seven days a week, starting at noon and ending at 8:00 p.m.

If that sounds like something you’d like to do, head to the River Walk and look for the Go Rio Cruise signs. You will share the shuttle with other tourists and San Antonio residents. This is a great way to reach the museum, and it’s also relaxing.

For a single day, River Shuttle tickets are $20.50. However, if you’re vacationing in San Antonio, you might want to consider the three-day river shuttle for $29.50. You can also ride the shuttle as often as you want for the number of days the ticket covers.

What Is Museum Reach?

Museum Reach is an incredible place to visit. It includes three miles of pathways, more than 70,000 plants, and multiple water features. However, you can also go to other venues while there. For example, you could spend time at the San Antonio Museum of Art or investigate the oldest VFW Post in Texas.

Not only that, but you’ll discover various festivals, events, and activities regardless of the time of year. Here’s another interesting fact. From April to October, approximately 60,000 Mexican free-tailed bats reside under the bridge that spans I-35. The most exciting part is watching them fly at night.

Narrated Cruise

This cruise operates every day from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. While it only lasts 35 minutes, Go Rio Cruise packs a lot into that time. As with the River Shuttle, the narrated cruise begins at the San Antonio River Walk. From there, it’ll take you past numerous landmarks and other fascinating sites while a narrator provides details and points things out.

Here are a few sites you’ll see on a Go Rio Cruise narrated cruise.

  • Briscoe Western Art Museum, where the husband of the Tejano star, Selena Quintanilla Perez, proposed.
  • La Villita, the same city where General Santa Anna positioned his cannon while fighting in the Battle of the Alamo.
  • Old Mill Crossing, the very spot where Teddy Roosevelt led the Rough Riders.
